Due to recent growth and product development, we are looking to expand our marketing team. Baseplan is looking to add an experienced, proactive Marketing Coordinator to our Sydney team. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will assisting with the organisation of the upcoming trade show, new campaigns and development of upcoming products.
The Position
As the Marketing Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to support the Marketing Manager. To do so you will be required to assist with all aspects of marketing campaigns, trade show organisation, CRM database management, create and publish e-newsletters, manage inventory of information pack contents and promotional merchandise, minor PA duties and general Account Management.
Requirements
- You must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- You must have strong previous customer service experience and have no problem conversing with clients.
- You must have the ability to operate independently as well as in a team
- You must show initiative and have a good attention to detail.
- You must have a high degree of organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
- You must have good Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher skills and some knowledge of artwork files.
- You must be reliable.
- You must be professional in your appearance and work ethic.
- Previous experience in the IT or Hire and Rental industry is desirable.

The Company
Baseplan Software is a well established, best of breed ERP software company with a high profile in the Hire and Rental Industry. Due to rapid growth and product development, Baseplan is looking to add an experienced, professional, IT Network Engineer to our Sydney team.
The Position
Working closely with both the development & testing teams, you will be involved in the configuration and maintenance of multiple test and production environments. You will be responsible for the successful deployment and maintenance of, SQL components and applications on the test platforms and the rollout of these systems to client production for both in-house use as well as remote deployment to customer sites. The technical environment includes SQL Server 2005/2008, VB6, VB.NET, Windows Server 2003/2008, Terminal Services, Hyper-V, Virtual Server, Active Directory, 50 workstations, and 30 servers.
The following will also be a key part of this position:
- Managing and maintaining test environments and coordinating and planning releases into the environments.
- Working closely with development and test support teams to migrate applications from test into production.
- Developing and configuring tools to assist and streamline configuration and change management.
- Facilitating tools and processes for effective communication and cooperation among various IT teams within the IT group.
- Extensive contact with customers when deploying test and live systems.
- Will include occasional after hours work (2-3 evenings per month) on remote systems.
- Closely working with support analysts to resolve customer issues
Skills Required
- Solid understanding of Internet technologies with good understanding of Transact SQL, batch files and VBScript.
- Provide server based support for applications running on SQL Server, Win 2000/2003/2008, IIS 6/7
- Experience with all Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems
- Desktop support experience
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve software and hardware faults
- Windows 2003/8 Server experience and qualifications
- Active Directory knowledge
- Experience with commercial backup applications (preferably Microsoft Forefront)
- Experience with commercial networked Antivirus solutions.
- Exposure to WAN/Firewall/VPN technologies.
- Network printing experience

- Experience with deployments of secure web applications, DMZ and firewalls would be valued

The Position
The major product of Baseplan Software was developed in VB 6.0 and is now being converted and redeveloped in VB.NET. Working closely with Baseplan Clients, our Professional Services & Testing teams, you will be involved in the following :
- To be an effective programmer at a senior level;
- Ensure the quality and effectiveness of delivered solutions;
- Engaging effectively in all aspects of delivering software, client meetings, business analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, delivery and support;
- To be able to develop specifications of software solutions and modifications, estimate work hours required and translating to quotations to Clients;
- Maintaining existing software and providing new software solutions;
- Debugging program faults;
- Converting applications to new software platforms;
- Liaising with all other Baseplan departments;
- Other duties required.
Skills Required
- Capable and focused programmer
- Experience in Win forms, user interface, reporting, mid tier and database programming using VB.NET and SQL Server.
- Experience in VB.NET, SQL Server 2005 Stored Procedures, VB 6.0, Client Server Application Development, Crystal Reports.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
- Microsoft Certification MCAD/MCSD/MCSE/MCDBA preferred
- Ability to operate independently and as well as a strong team player.
- Excellent communication skills

Qualifications Preferred
- At least 5 years experience in Software Development

The Position
It will be your job to:
- provide help desk support to 100 key customers (with a total user base of over 3,000)
- assist our customers in the use of our products
- identify problems
- identify new requirements.
You will become an authority on the use of the product for our customers and you will assist our software development team to deliver quality software support. We would like prefer someone who has been in a similar role or who has had experience with business systems, particularly Hire, Rental, Fleet Management or Accounting, either as a user or in a development, deployment or support role. Experience in the Hire and Rental Industry or in other commercial systems is beneficial but not essential.
To be effective in this position you must be intelligent, presentable and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must also have a commitment to customer service and be capable of working with people via the phone and email. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and other office products is essential.
